on the 1st Thursday of each month, Rust receives an official update. When your server updates on this date (after the update has been released), some data will get wiped automatically.
Configure automatic update
- Access your server's control panel
- Select Scheduled tasks
- Click New > Wipe on Rust Wipe Day
- Configure the following:
- Name: Give the task a name
- Check "Activated"
- Type: Daily
- Start: Preferably after 11:05 PM
- Repeat every: 1 day
- "Repeat task" should be left unchecked
- Configure additional settings under "Advanced settings"
- Save the task
After the task has been configured, your server will update automatically on the first Thursday every month at the selected time. If your server has uMod installed, uMod will also be updated.
